2017 -- Another IFP

The adventure now continues with four students, this time. Anna Giebink, Carly Goedhart, Sergei Raspel, Dylan Rothbauer and I will be leaving for Kazan and Tomsk on June 8. But first, I get to spend a week in Washington, DC, shepherding our visa applications through the bureaucracy in person. I expect that I will get around the capital to see the sights, but I also expect to get a lot of writing done. This time, also, there will be a lot more pictures, so you will get a much better feel for Russia. This time, also, the students will be presenting posters at the 16th International Symposium on Inclusion Compounds and 3rd Youth School on Supramolecular and Coordination Chemistry in Kazan:

Dylan and Carly will present a poster, "Research in Organic Chemistry at an Undergraduate Institution," on Wednesday, June 28.

Anna will present a poster, "Progress Towards the Synthesis of Fluorescent Tröger's Bases With a Chiral Bridge," the same day.

My invited talk, "Was Markovnikov's Rule an Inspired Guess?... Absolutely  Not!" will take place at 9:00 a.m. the same day.

More posts later...
